G-Energy premium oils manufacturer Gazpromneft Lubricants and G-Force Motorsport racing team signed a partnership agreement for 2013. The racing team will perform in world’s largest off-road events of the year including Dakar Rally, Cross Country Rally World Cup and the Russian Championship.

To take part in Dakar 2013, G-Force Motorsport will use the motor oils and technical fluids developed by Gazpromneft Lubricants. Among the company’s plans is testing G-Energy in G-Force Motorsport cars. High quality and wide range of the products offered by Gazpromneft Lubricants allowed G-Force Motorsport Team for choosing eight of ten lubricants necessary for the rally. The selection has included some Gazpromneft Lubricants’ premium products – the synthetic engine oils. At present, the company is working at two more types of lubricants.

G-Force Motorsport Team will open its new season with Dakar 2013. Supported by Gazpromneft Lubricants three car crews will represent Russia 5 January on the legendary track: Vladimir Vasilyev – VItaly Yevtekhov, Boris Gadasin – Alexey Kuzmitch and Andrew Cherednikov– Albert Khorn. Today, G-Force is the only Russian team performing in world’s off-road championship in the G-Force Proto cars with GM engines.

“In the 2012 Silk Way Rally, in July, we used Gazpromneft Lubricants’ oils. G-Force Motorsport Team won the racing then. For the first time a Russian crew has stepped on top of this international rally. This time, in Dakar, not only G-Force racing cars, but the assistance vehicles will be filled with Gazpromneft Lubricants’ oils. This is not only about engine and gear oils, but coolant and greases; quenching oils will also be used in spare part production,” – says Team’s driver and engineer Boris Gadasin.

“The extreme conditions of motorsports set higher requirements for lubricants quality. That is why cooperation with world-leading racing and rally teams is the best testing solution. Today Gazpromneft Lubricants owns the most high-tech lube blending facilities in Russia. This helps us not only achieve the international quality level, but constantly improve our production technology,” – says Alexander Trukhan, General Director, Gazpromneft Lubricants.

Team RFR partnered by Gazprom Neft’s G-Energy premium oils brand as part of its G-Drive Racing support program, took the second and third steps in the last race of the World Series by Renault 3.5 held 20 and 21 October at the Circuit de Catalunya (Spain).

Mikhail Aleshin finished first in Sunday’s qualifying. He won a head-to-head duel with his Finnish teammate Aaro Vainio in the main race. Aleshin completed the track in a 2nd place time leaving Aaro Vainio with the bronze medal. Mikhail Aleshin topped season 2012 overall standings among the Russian drivers.

“The battle with Aaro was hard but fair. Congratulations to my team and my mate! He showed what he’s made of. The battle with Aaro shook up the race – fair and breathtaking,” – Aleshin says. The car behaved perfectly thanks to my team – that’s a great job and a good example: if everything runs correctly – we achieve excellent results.”

“We congratulate Team RFR on their victory we have been waiting for the whole season. Motorsports is the perfect testing ground for engine oils and fluids. Today’s automotive trend is more power at less engine volume. This entails stronger requirements for oils and fluids. In addition, the products must comply with the latest environmental standards. Extreme conditions of racing help us develop and improve our products. We plan to further release a series of specialty oils for sports vehicles,” – says Alexander Trukhan, General Director at Gazpromneft Lubricants.
